A Change in Fashion Styles Moves towards Pragmatism

Finally in the last few years, I actually believe the fashion world has in the end realised the truth of fashion sizes. Whereas only five or so years ago you had to either squeeze into little sized fashionwear, these days we have the alleviation of plus size. Fashion accessories like babydoll lingerie (available in plus size) make it much simpler on the regular lady to get a size that fits her.

I imagine it’s down to women’s spending patterns forcing companies to follow them - the standard size of men and women in Britain has gotten bigger over the decades, and although fashion companies have been a bit idle in reacting, they eventually acknowledge that profits come from giving the market what it wants.

Moreover, I’ve seen a change in fashion styles towards pragmatism. No more are the styles of ridiculous high heels and heavy makeup; nowadays it’s normal to individualize your fashion without being marked a freak - which frankly makes the general public areas and nightspots far more fascinating places. This in itself has become a fantastic boost for the smaller clothes shops that can provide to micro-trends taking place.
